Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl

Last weekend we had spring here in my part of Sweden, but this weekend the winter is back with snow and cold. This tropical smoothie bowl takes me right back to summer though! All the colours and fresh flavours makes me so happy even when the sky outside is grey and gloomy. Some days you just have to create your own sunshine.

This green smoothie bowl tastes like a sweet tropical sorbet. If you would rather drink your smoothie than eat it with a spoon simply add more liquid. Usually I like to make my green smoothies with tons of fresh baby spinach or kale, but green powders make a great substitute when I don't have any fresh greens at home.Wheatgrass powder, barley grass powder or nettle powder work equally amazing in this recipe. You could probably also use spirulina or chlorella powder.


Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl

Serves 1


1/4 fresh pineapple
1 cup frozen chopped mango
1 tbsp coconut cream/extra creamy coconut milk
Pinch of real vanilla powder
1 tsp wheatgrass powder/barley grass powder/nettle powder
1/2 cup plant milk

Blend all the ingredients in a blender or with a hand-held blender. Serve in a bowl and top with mango, pineapple, goji berries, cacao nibs and a little extra coconut cream.
